textPuppet is software used to develop automatic 3d fibre vivification for virtual personalities. Its simple, production oriented user interface takes text as input and produces complete scripts and audio files used for version high-quality lip-synchronized fibre animations in Curious Lab' s Poser. It also includes a unique, configurable automatic vivification script generator which produces realistic winking, facial expressions, and head and upper-body movements. textPuppet is also a highly configurable, highschool quality, standalone text-to-speech synthesizer. It automatically interprets text for pronunciation and emphasis, and also allows for farther manual ok tuning of tidings emphasis and pronunciation through simple scar up. textPuppet is built with the high-quality Speechworks ETI-EloquenceTM address synthesis engine. It' s voices are far superior to those in other text-to-speech applications (such as the Microsoft voices included in freeware text-to-speech applications). textPuppet comes with the U.S. English module. Additional modules are available in U.K. English, French, Canadian French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish at this time. The base price of textPuppet, including the U.S. English language module, is $139.00. Additional language modules are available for $99.00 each. A demo version is currently available for download, and the discharge version will begin shipping on November 21, 2001.
